Boa's tongue lost pigment...

DBZchick7 Aug 14, 2003 10:32 PM

I have a 2 1/2year old female colombian bci that went through a shed recently and when i took her out to take some pics of her new suit i noticed that part of her tongue had lost all the melinin and revealing the red beneath.... and it's clear the tongue is still healthy and normal, not damaged in any way, but the pigment has just disappeared... i know salmon/hypos sometimes have two-toned tongues but this is as far as i know normal female...

didn't quite get to finish... the picture below is the female im talking about... i'd just like to know if anyone has had a similar experience like this... i've heard of pigement being lost on the body itself for "mysterious reasons" but anybody heard of the tongue? thanks for your opinions ahead of time...
