is it ok to use artificial plants in my boa tank

Hey,
My boa REALLY likes to climb, so I've got lots of those suction-cup plastic vines around his tank, as well as other plastic plants that I've bought at the pet store. I think almost any plastic plant would be appropriate for your snake, as long as it doesn't have really sharp edges or a strong odor, and you wash it first.
