HELP!!!1 My baby bci just ate the fuzzy live................

my small bci just ate a fuzzy alive!! she struck, got the head in her mouth, and skipped the whole constricting thing and just swallowed. i have no idea what to do. has anyone else ever had this happen? is my snake gonna die? hope ya'll have some feed back. i am sort of panicing.

I would say the fuzzy is too small for your snake at this point. My kingsnake would do this on a regular basis when he was small.If they can't constrict (prey to small to get around) then they just seem to figure it can't hurt them and swallow away.

For safety's sake, I would recommend swapping to freshly killed or frozen/thawed prey if your boa will accept it.

I would not worry about it. A fuzzy cant possably do much harm. Probly the fuzzy sufficated before the snake even had it completly down. I do agree with Jenn, sounds like your snake is too big for fuzzies. Thank you, Lee

I've had this happen many times with Colubrids and it is has never been a problem.
