genlelow Aug 28, 2003 05:01 PM

I am new to boas, but have had other snakes..kingsnakes to be exact.
I was wondering if anyone could offer any opinions on what i should do for him differently...heat rock of heat pad..or even heat lamp...substrate...things to climb on(like should i put branches in there or what?), and also how often then shed and how often how much to feed. hav had him about 3 weeks now and he seems to be doing great...been feeding little mice once a week
He is going into his shed currently...anyway, anything would be great....thanx

Leland

Well the care of your boa is a bit different than your colubrids. There's care sheets around that may answer many of the questions you have. Try here.

Don't know why that link didn't work, but if you go to...

http://www.redtails.com/general_care/genral_care.html

that should help some!
