My little girl Dumeril is entering adolescence. When she was younger and small she was content to lay in my hands and visit dreams only boas know. Now she's bigger and wants to roam when I take her out of the enclosure. No longer does she stay by my side.
Sometimes, though, she will still rest her head on my hand when she ventures near...but then in awhile off she goes.
Today she graduated to a half grown rat. Much like when I fed her a adult mouse, I thought the rat was going to be way to big for her. I was mistaken again.
She is becoming more aware. When I lift the lid off her tank, she is quickly out from her pile of moss and looking for food. The rat ought to keep her quiet for awhile I suspect. So I ask you:
Will she still love me
when she's six feet long
