boas and noise

peteralbrian Aug 30, 2003 10:12 AM

boas don't have ears but i had read that they are sensitive to vibrations. would noise affect their breeding. for exzample if they are placed in a garage ( noise of chainsaw) or bedroom (hi-fi). the cages have a balck curtain in front of them so their light cycles are not affected.

would the noise affect them?

Well, yes, I suppose that the noises should affect them just as the light does. I think that it does affect the bredding, since I've noticed my constrictor and regius get a bit disturbed from the sound. But I don't know, I could just as well be imagining it all Anyhow, according to my sence of logic, I think that if the light affects them, so should different noises.

Take care!

Lotta
