We have recently aquired a pair of dh snow boas, they are about 4 - 5 feet long, we have had them for about a month or so, and up untill now everything was great, they were eating very good, shedding, drinking and defecating just fine. now the female has just regurgitated her last meal, and seems to have a real problem, she will often do a steve wonder impresion, then fliping the first half of her bodie upside down, and almost have little spasms. we have been keeping boas for a while now, and have never had this happen before. any help and info would be greatly appreciated, we already have a vet appointment for tuesday, but if there is something that we can do in the meantime, that would be great.

I had a DH Snow female about the same age start bobbing its head side to side like it had Hodgkin's disease or something. The body was noticeably weak around the neck area and I was really worried. I took her to the vet and he did a fecal and found some type of parasitic flagellate type of infestation. He treated her twice with flagyl over a two week period and she's gotten 100% better. The thing that got me is I had this animal alone since I got her last year and it took about nine months for this to show. I don't know if she ate a mouse or rat that was contaminated but the bottom line is she's fine now. Do not try and feed them until they are looked at by the vet otherwise another regurge may weaken them further.
