To be honest with you if you didn't tell me the animal had Peruvian in it I wouldn't have known. It looks more like a Colombian so I don't see any benefit of crossing them.

I asked if this was a common hybrid. I do not care if it is an ugly snake, or a pointless hybrid. I do not have the kind of money to buy a 100% Peruvian, I'm just a hobbyist, not a breeder. And before you go off thinking I'm being rude think about how you answered my question. When someone asks a question in this forum it doesn't do any good to tell them what they didn't ask about.Man why is everyone gotta be so untight in these forums. First of all, nice boa you have there. To answer your question, not a lot of people cross a Peruvian w/ a common BCI, I don't think. This is just my opinion on this, but I think that if a person has the money to have one Peruvian adult, then they will probably really try to get a Peruvian mate for it (since true Peruvians are commanding a solid amount these days).
Of course, if I an individual had a male Peruvian and one female Peruvian and a female BCI, then he might breed the BCC male to both the BCC & BCI female. If that's the case, then my opinion isn't very reliable. Take it for what it's worth!

However I am seriously wondering if that snake is actually a Peruvian cross. It could be, I dont know, it just doesnt look like it has any true red tail influence at all. May just be the picture. I know that Ive actually done it a couple times accidentally other than myself Im not sure any one else has tried to often to cross peruvians, surinames yes, peruvians no. Here is a female I kept (peruxcolombian)should turn out to be a het albino as well. Shes very pink now and the side diamonds are jet black I think she is an attractive animal and should produce some killer albinos. Any how. Good luck with your animal. About the picture....in person he looks basically like a colombian with a truely beuatiful tail....it is stunning. Ill whip out my minolta and snap a macro shot of him some time for ya'll to see. That's right im from Texas hehe. Thanks for the responces glad to know I have something unique, Brian.
