I have many pythons but no boas cant find a good care sheet on them.any Ideals? here is the short story a friend of mine works at a pet store and someone just drops two colombian boas off I took one becouse I had a cage for him and getting the other one in a couple days when I build a cage the first one seems very healthly he/she is about two feet The other is 6 to 7ft long and here is where is the problem is I never had a sick snake befor and he/she sounds like wheezing not hissing any Ideals could this be something to be concernd about? and could the other one be the same just not showing signs yet? there is no bubbles from the nose or anything like that both very active Also how to tell sex with out probing I know with out probing its not acrraccact but would like to be able to have a ideal befor taking to vets THANKS

some say just turn the heat up if its early but i say take it to a vet asap.

First I would turn the heat up into the mid 90's and wait for it to poop, then take the snake and the poop to the vet within 24hr of the "movment". Most vets in my area do free fecal exams with the exam of your snake, this will allow the vet to check for internal parasites as well as treat the snake for the RI. I take all my new snakes to the vet as soon as they poop so they can be checked for parasites as well as the health of the snake. As far as determining the sex of your boa, most males will have spurs located near the vent. This will give you an idea and your vet should be able to tell you for sure.
