Re-freezing Rats?

Is it safe to re-freeze rats? Do they lose their quality when you freeze them again?

If my snake doesnt take the rat.....only happened once when i first introduced my ball python to rats.....I just tossed the rat. Treat it like any perishable meat product, if its been sitting out too long, toss it, if it stinks, toss it. i know snakes dont eat gormet but if you wouldnt eat day old refrozen meat, your snake shouldnt have to.
