I just purchased a baby solomon island boa and she has not been taking to f/t pinkies. I tried a live feeder fish and she devoured it immediately. Is it okay to feed her these fish, and also when should I try switch over to mice?

You will want to try scenting as soon as possible.Although this is a proven method, it might be safer to switch to pinkies asap. I will email you with more info Randy

Fish are fine to start her eating. From some of the reading I've done, it isn't unusual for them to accept fish, frogs or lizards (anoles or geckos) as their first meals. It isn't always as convenient as rodent prey and I would suggest trying to scent a pinky at her next feeding (simply rub it liberally on the fish) and offer it. She should switch over just fine with a little patience and persistence. Once she's eaten a couple of scented items, then you can try unscented prey. If she doesn't switch over immediately, don't panic, just be persistent and keep trying.
