The father of the two year girl allegedly killed by the Burmese Python was arrested for selling cocaine to undercover agents!!!! I would love to know if an autopsy was perfomed on that poor girl.

Yeah,
It was just a matter of time before he got arrested for "something".

Hopefully, he'll be arrested again for the death of the child.

I think they're still waiting for toxicology tests to come back, but the premliminary findings was death by asphyxia. Which basically means she was smothered.

I think, even if the toxicology results prove Python is "innocent" of the killing....... It will still be the one blamed. I doubt they'll release any info to the contrary. After all, that killing was a "poster child" for the ban on Pythons. I doubt they'll let that be taken away.

That an ignorant P.O.S. like that would be selling cocaine, and he probably doesn't have a job and is living off the tax payer...DUMB A$$

From day one I had a feeling that there were suspicious circumstances in that snake related death. We still do not know the repercussions but to think that the reptile industry could potentially be crushed by the contributions of a crackhead? He should be facing an additional count of child endangerment...but difficult to prove he was dealing drugs out his home last month while she was still alive(I'm sure he was).

I agree with everybodies statements. I felt from the beginning the
circumstances surrounding this poor little neglected child's
death , were suspicious.
I wonder just how conclusive that Autopsy was ?
Asphyxia by a Python ruled in with probability of 95% or better ?
I wonder who has been on the phone with that FL.coroner reminding
him about his job.
As stated earlier I doubt the full Autopsy report will ever come
under full scrutiny.

Frustrating !

The python i saw in that story looked like it wasn't even big enough to start on XL rats yet and the media wants me to believe that a child triggered a feeding response strong enough that the snake would (and could) kill a "prey item" many times larger than it could possibly swallow. Snakes are very good at sizing up possible prey and deciding whether or not to take the risk and try to kill and eat it.

There is just no way that a sleeping child triggered that python into a feeding response and continue the response till the child was dead.

I thought the snake belonged to the Mom's boyfriend; not the girl's father?

LOSER!! Shame on him. That is horrible, it just makes things WAY
MORE COMPLICATED. Just rediculas. I was going to pray for him
and his grieving (still am for her sake) but it sounds like we
already know wat his 'copig' tool is. Just pathetic. Sorry guys
my 2 cents.
