I hope I can manage to save this guy... ever since he arrived, he's been a puker. Had I known he was a WC animal that's loaded w/ internal parasites, I would have treated before offering food. After he gurged when he got here, I contacted the seller and asked if it was a CBB animal and he said yes, it was. SO, I assumed stress was the cause of the gurge. So, I waited three weeks and gave an extremely small meal, up it came. Contacted again, this time, "it could be wc, i don't know"... GREEEEEAAAAT.
So, I've treated appropriately and hit him pretty hard w/ meds and I HOPE TO GOD he pulls through. He kept his last meal down and it's been 17 days since he's eaten (voracious appetite, btw). I'm going to treat one more time and then hold off on any more meds and just hope he keeps his small, bi-weekly meals down for a few months and I hope he doesn't lose any more weight. If I'm lucky, I'll manage to put a little weight back on him in a few months... :-
If only I had known ahead of time, I could have treated preventatively and hopefully totally circumvented the whole gurging experience
Anyway, this was the only pic I could get of him that didn't make him look like complete ASS (which, he does). And no, I didn't pull him out for a pic session, I was cleaning his cage and had the camera there...

YES, he's THAT purple!
here's to hoping...

TOO BAD ABOUT THE WC ISSUE. SOME PEOPLE WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO BUY FROM THEM. THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS WRONG WITH THE HOBBY TODAY.
