I bought a 6 1/2 foot 17lb female boa to breed to my male but she's not tame. Her original owner told me that she was very tame but she got a bit aggresive since he hasn't handled her for 5 months. I already took her to the vet, her health is perfect. Every time that I intend to handle her she hisses alot. Does anyone have any tips on how to make her handable/tame again???

Have you given her a week to settle in yet?Does she strike at you?Does she hiss out of the cage? One of my guyana's likes to blow a little steam off when i first get her out of the cage then she mellows out.I would give her a little time to settle down then try handling her a little each day.Good luck...Paul.
