Attn: Argentine Breeders: Ever seen one like this?

Mike Greathouse Sep 22, 2003 07:57 AM

This little girl was born on 9/5/03 to two normal Argentines. Every other baby is completely normal in appearance. This particular animal has a very washed out look about her. Additionally, a large percentage of the ventral scales are a creamy white instead of the normal silver/gray.

The first picture was taken indoors with a flash.
The 2nd picture was taken ourdoors in natural light. In my opinion, this picture gives a more accurate representation of the animal.
The third picture (indoor with flash) shows some of the ventral scales.

I would be interested in hearing about similar animals in anyone's collection.

Thank you,

Mike Greathouse

Well, I have NEVER produced one like that, or even seen one like that! Very awesome little baby you got there, and now just one more breeding project to add to your list. Is there going to be siblings for sale? If so, please drop me an e-mail I'd definitely be interested....who knows what the genetics will prove to be, but can't hurt to take a chance-LOL! Congratulations, I hope you can duplicate the appearance in the future. Take care!

Paul, Thanks for your comments. She is very special indeed. I'm anxious to see how she develops as she gets older.

Her siblings will be offered for sale once they are established.
They just shed for the first time last week and had their first meal this past weekend. They'll be available in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

what are your thoughts at this time? Any predictions or would you care to venture a guess?
Later Mike!
