Hey, im new to this forum, but not to kingsnake. I rescued a baby boa from a customer at my pet store who was going to dump her in the woods. I took her to my vet first thing, who said she was beautiful and looked great healthwise too.I am going to be keeping her and will be posting a pic soon. I own several lizards (an iguana, beardie, uro, and leo gecko)- but this is my fist snake. She ("Elvira"
is a little less than 2 ft. long. The problem is this- she is shedding, but not all at once. Scales are peeling off one-by-one. Her eyes are cloudy, and look like they want to shed, but have been that way for a couple days now. She is not the least bit interested in food, and has not eaten for 4 days now. Is this normal? She is in a 20 gal long tank, but is out whenever I am home. I spray her once or twice daily, as well as give her a bath. In her tank, she has fir chips as a substrate, a big water dish to soak in, a sand-blasted tree branch, and a cave she is almost always in (when shes in her tank). The temp is about 87-93 degrees (depending which side you check) I fed her 4 small mice last week, with one day in between each feeding. Anything else I should be doing?
Thanks
-Stefano
p.s.- Wich is better to feed, grown mice or rat pups?
