Lets say I have 1000.00-2000.00 to spend on a boa to breed with my normal(bci)...what does anyone think I should get...Probably at the NARBC show at Tinly Park...

well if you want to produce some morphs on your first breeding and not just het's I would go with something co-dom. like a hypo or for the money you have too spend dbl het for sunglow

i have never done any breeding befor and dont know much about the whole morph production.but if i had that much money(which would be almost impossible for a 13 year old kid.)i would save a couple more and go with 2 albino's. i may be wrong plz dun flame me.

I would either get an arabesque boa (my number one pick)...or an adult hypo or a pair of adult het albinos (all should easily be under 2 grand)

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.

I would try to find an albino for as close to $800 as possible. I would also try to get a hypo het sunglow for around $1200. I realize these prices are low but hey cash talks.
If you have any luck this pair would statistically yield you 25% sunglows, 25% albinos, 25% hypo het sunglow, and 25% normal het albino. Using lower than average prices this clutch could earn you:
$4000 x 5 = $20,000 sunglows
$800 x 5 = $4000 albinos
$1200 x 5 = $6000 hypo het sunglows
$150 x 5 = $750 het albinos
TOTAL= $30,750
Of course prices may be much less than this in 3-4 years and there is no gaurantee the animals will breed or even remain in good health. Best of luck with whatever you choose to buy!
