I get a lot of E-mails asking me about the Can Cun boa line. Some people don't know what one looks like, others inquire about bloodline. The lineage questions get fuzzy. These boas mature early and breed easily at our latitudes, producing large litters, making them targets for putting into recessive-genetics projects. Of the hundreds produced here and by the S. Florida breeder who also works with pure upper Yucatan (QuintanaRoo) boas who knows how many were bred and bred pure for the locality?

This beautiful F2 light-phase was produced here along with many others starting in '91. The resemblance to a few so-called Hypo-Sonorans I see is very strong. Other hypo-Sonorans are apparently pure Sonorans.
