I am tring to figure out everything about hets and ,,different morphs and genetics for breeding boas...Can somebody hook me up wth a website or some thing that gives good info about this stuff....Joe

What type of hets are you trying to breed and what is your ultimate goal to produce?

IMHO, the best genetics web site I've seen is not comparable to a decent textbook. And the amount of bad information on some web sites made my hair stand straight out. You'd be better off buying a text, like Schaum's Introduction to Genetics. Junior author is William D. Stansfield, who was sole author of the first three editions. Can't remember senior author of the fourth (latest) edition. If you want to save some money, buy a third edition, which ought to be available used for less than $10 in PB. I compared the 3rd edition (which I own) to the 4th edition a year or so ago. Little has changed (except some problems were deleted and some changes in organization) in the classical genetics area. The Fourth edition is better in biochemical genetics area, but you want to learn classical genetics for your work with boa constrictors. Once you learn the vocabulary and principles, they can be applied to boa constrictors, mice, corn, etc.
