This is a comparison photo of a typical orange-phase Sonoran BCI and a Tarahumara BCI. Both are 2003 CB babies produced here. Note the pattern and size differences. Ventral markings are also different. The Sonoran boa is actually 3 weeks younger. Although both will get more color as they mature the Tarahumara boa will eventually have a more beautiful contrast and irridesence.

Here is the other major difference plainly illustrated. Small Sonoran boas (and many adults) will tear into you for any reason at any time, while the Tarahumara boa is more lilely to stay still and act passive. Who knows what is the evolutionary reason for that..
