geckoman2000 Sep 29, 2003 08:27 PM

This is my new boa. What kind of boa is this exactly? I know i couldnt get realy good lighting but maybe one of you experts can help out. How big will he/she get? And my last question is will he get lighter or darker? Any opinions are appreciated.

Thank You

Looks like it could be a hog island or a hog island cross. I am no expert thougg. If it is a hog it will stay slighter smaller than a regular boa constrictor imperator.

It's a nicaraguan boa (central american). I have a female almost identical to yours. Males grow to 3-4 ft and females 4-5 ft. Mine hasn't gotten any lighter yet but she has a partially striped tail. Hope this answers all your questions.
