I'm very interested in getting a boa as my first snake and I love the Columbian BCI's but I actually want something smaller. What do you guys think about the smaller boas like the Corn Island, Hogg Island, and Cay Caulker boas? Are they as docile and friendly as the Columbian BCI's?

most other imperator-boas are smaller than a columbian 
when u go to a breeder,take the chance to handle all babys,and choose thisone,which is easy tohandle without biting or sumtin similar nervous tings...

a great snake. I own one that will be a year old on Friday(10/3/03). He is just now as large as a 1 mos old BCI. They grow very little the first 18 mos. After 18 mos they will grow just like a typical BCI. Adult length is only 4-1/2 to 5 feet. Great disposition too. Very gentle if not timid. Never has attempted to bite. Eats F/T every week. I highly recommend one of them. They are almost Anery in appearance.

I just got my Corn Island baby last week and he is absolutely beautiful. They have a very unique coloring to them. He is very docile as well, which is a plus. What can I say he has the looks and personality to match. Go with a Corn, you will not be dissapointed!
