introducing 2 boas????

kop3 Oct 02, 2003 12:29 PM

Ive had a general boa for about three months so i decided to get a rosy tail also from this years litter. I was hoping the 2 would get along and I could bring them up together since they aer both about the same size. Well when i introduced to each other, the new one attacked my old one. He lashed out with a quick nip, luckily he ogt my hand and nopt the other snake. If anything I was expecting my old one to be the aggressive one since they were near his territory or cage. Do you have any suggestions on how to introduce the 2 together. And is it likely that they will get along?

Both are tame as dogs when handled alone but for some reason the new guy is very aggressive towards my old one.
thanks
kop

keeping them together will stress them out and can endanger both. You are talking about a redtail and a rosie boa right? If you are then do not keep them together.

Yea Im pretty sure. Both look very similiar but the one is real light colored and has some pink on the tail where the other one has grey.

I THINK he's talking about two Boa constrictors, not a Boa and a Charina.

Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
