I've never held a full grown BCC. I have however owned and held full grown adult female BCI's. It is difficult plain and simple. And, there are a lot of varying factors. Is the animal tame? Is it use to being held? Things like this make a big deal. I have a 4-5 year old Argentine the is about 8 1/2 ft and very easy to handle. But, regardless of the boa and it's nature you will always have to be careful. The longer the boa.........The longer the striking distance. The older and bigger the boa......The stronger it is. And, they are very strong believe me!! I am 6'2" and 235lbs.....I may not be as stong as BIG MIKE (LOL!) but, I enjoy lifting weights. I had one experience where I had my adult BCI. She positioned herself crawling in a way that almost broke my thumb. And, there wasn't much I could do. Other than have a lesson learned and not use my hands to hold her in that way.

I have also held a 13' Tiger retic and thanked my lucky stars that it was tame. The thing was so long that it could have bit me any where if it had wanted to. Thus the reason to have at least two people around when handling a big snake. (Which I did)

I have held adult burms as well. All these animals are incredibly strong. Especially when they are mature adults.

Who knows??? They all can bite if they want to. But, I get bit more from our cats and nibbled on my by my dog than bitten by my snakes. (Not that they haven't tried) In my 15 years of owning snakes and lizards........I have only been bitten twice. Knock on wood. (My head) Certain animals have reputations....Like Argentine boas are suppose to be mean. I have one and she is the sweetest animal I own. Some will say Retics are mean, Burms are mean, Rocks are mean, and so on........and so forth. In my experience.........Most rocks are aggressive. But that is not a golden rule. You see, one thing to note is this. These animals are "similar" to humans. They all have different personalities. Some boas are going to be the sweetest animals alive. Same with retics, burms, etc. Others will be teh spawn of Satan and never change.

I know I haven't answered you question completely. But, it really should be said. All snakes can bite. All dogs can bite. All cats can bite. All rats can bite. All horses can bite. All birds can bite. Hell, all people can bite. LOL!

It's just like that "craze" that was going around for a while about pit bulls. Most would consider them to be a dog that attacks people. Others would totally disagree with you. Same with snakes. I guess I could go on and on.......But, you probably stopped reading by now. LOL!

I had an African rock Python at once... and save for one incident she never struck at or threatened me in any way.. and the one incident was my fault. We were taking pics of her and she didn't like the flash on the camera.. she was biting at the cam but my hand got in the way. I was forced to find her a home when I moved however.. and the guy who came to get her.. pissed her off something fierce so when he uncovered the travel case she was in.. she lunged at him like a cobra would.

For me, she was the sweetest animal...save for a pentient for bathrooming on me...though I think it was more habit than feeling stressed for her... For other people..she was the nastiest pain in the *beep*.

Burmese pythons kill the most people in the US, but that's probably because they're just the most popular. As far as wild snakes go, I hear the most news reports about African Rock pythons actually trying to eat people.
As far as captive snakes go, it probably has much much more to do with the owners than with the type of snake.
