the boas there appear the same and are suspected of crossing the border. Although there are certin traits that you will only find in Guyana and other traits only found in Suriname they are the same ssp and have evolved very closely

nobody could tell you whether a snake was from guyana or suriname without knowing the background of that animal. dividing up locales by country is very convenient for dealers but has no scientific validity at all. There are no traits found only in guyanas and there are no traits found only in surinames.

You are right there are no traits only found in one or the other country. I guess what I ment to say was is their are certain traits that are more common in Guyana's and certain traits that are more common in Suriname's. But without collection info it would be impossibe to tell witch are witch

so what are these specific traits found only on one side or the other? i have failed to notice any. i believe they are the exact same animal period. i do however like the idea of keeping lines clean and not mixing the two for "purity" reasons. i would however love to know an example of an exclusivley guyana trait and likewise for suriname.

there is another country just east of these two countries called french guiana... same this as well.
