I dunno but my snake is just odd... He'll sit in that position for hours. It looks like he's supported by the glass but he isn't leaning against it. He's just upright like that in mid air... He's not sick.. He's been to the vets for a full checkup which I do once a year unless there's a problem. But he'll do this for hours some days....

Just wierd...

I had a couple that used to do that. I finally figured out that mine did it because they think that food drops from the sky. Once I switched to f/t food that was laid on the floor, they quit. I used to hold the rats in the air till the snake struck, giving them a better chance to get a good head shot and not get bitten by the rodents. This may not be the case with your animal, just something I noticed with mine.

Nope.. not the case... Sutekh has never been given live food *L* F/T was his first meal and has been since.. I think, but I could be mistaken, that he just wants out to roam. Everytime I take him out to handle he just wants to roam the house.. get into things. He acts like my Monitor half the time *L* I take him outside when its warm and let him roam a bit... open fields.. He just hit his full growth and sexual maturity last winter... He was cruising for females.. which I don't have for him yet *L* Though they're coming this summer.
