Ok i posted about this about 3 weeks ago, and someone said just to wait, so i tryed that, but now i've been bit twice and i think i need to do something other then just wait.

If you don't know the full story here it is. I bought her around the first of may, she was born in march of this year, i haven't had any troble in the past, other then one time when my father got bit, but that was because she hates the smell of alcahol and he had the smell of beer on his hands. But other then that she's been a great pet, and loved to hang with me by the computer as i was going whatever.

But now, sence about the 1st of september, everything has changed. All i have to do is just open the top and she arches waiting to strike. It takes me over 30 minets to change the water because i try my best not to use gloves because i don't want her to get used to them, and not be able to be just hand held.. So anyway she's gotten worse.. I've been bitten twice sence the last time i posted.. I'm just happen she's young and not a full grown boa thats doing this. But the guy that i bought her from wont awesor none of my e-mails about her, and i've called on numorious accations and no awesor, so i have no other choice then to post on here.

I took all the procations like feeding her in a septorate container, wich i still do, but it takes forever to get her out because she constantly puffing up, and things like that.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Will this stop? Will she always be like this? what should i do? Please help me if u can..

What is the set up for the snake ?
who did you buy her from ?
When you are handling her how long afte eating is it ?
Lastly how ofetn do you try to handle her? alot of times babies will be more "Bark then bite" thinking that a large prey item is coming forthem so this would be a natural reaction for them. alot of times if you are coming from overhead they will automatically think that they are endanger. you might want to invest in a snake hook they can be picked up for around $20 and you would be surprised in how big a difference that makes when getting them out ofthere enclosure.

Buisnesses come and go everyday, what keeps you here is how you treated the customer the day before....

Probably the best thing to do is spend alot of time with her whenever you can. She needs to know that is safe, so if possible try not to bother her when she's in the hide box. Also, take her out for certain increments of time each day, and start with a short time at first. For instance, the first day, hold her for 5 minutes. After a few days, increase it to 10 minutes, then after a few more days make it 15. She shouldn't strike at you once your holding her, so be gentle but efficeint about picking her up. If you need to wear gloves for the first couple of days thats fine, but only do this if you have to, and make sure to hold her without them soon. or, pick her up with the gloves, and then take them off. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Umm the enclosure is a 30 gallon tank, with under tank heater, i was just using that during the summor, but now that its cooled down i bought a heat lamp as well.. And a water bowl for her.. The guy i bought her from e-mailed me after he saw a wanted add that i placed on kingsnake.com.. We had alot of troble with him in the beginning and i should have backed out of it them.. I only paid 100 for her and that did include shipping so it was around 70 for the snake i would guess. But like after i sent him the money i didn't get a responce from him in like over two weeks. And i was wurryed because he wouldn't awesor my e-mails so my brother inlaw is in the air force and he checked under his name, and the name he gave us didn't register with the address and just alot of other things came up along with that. But like a week later he called and said he was busy and he sent the snake out.. And to top it all off he sent it to the wrong address, and we had to drive around our neabor hood looking for someone who reseaved a package.. Luckly after about 30 houses we found the house and it was a 80 year old woman that was holding the box inside her home waiting to see if someone would come by looking for it. And when we told her what it was she freaked, but i thought that was funny..lol

But yeah i never had any problems picking her up before, and i had her for like 4 month before this all happend..

I was feeding her once a week, and waiting 4 days between feedings to hold her, really once i saw her deficate then i would hold her.

Hi-Someone told me to try this when I had an aggressive one which was to place the snake in a snake bag or pillowcase depending on size and hold them that way they can feel your touch thru the bag.JUst a thought?Also who did you buy your snake from they sure have sorry customer service and don't seem to care about their snakes too much.It seems like he would be concerned about the snake making it safe and would be avaliable to help you after the sale?Good Luck!=D

yeah you would have thought so. I lost his e-mail address after i cleaned out my room. But i have his phone number wich he will never awnsore.. so i don't know. I'm just happy it got here safe.. all though it look some work..lol

Try putting a well worn (smells like you) shirt in with her. I have found that this helps them get use to your smell. It's also best to cut a section of the shirt out, so that she does not get tangled in it. I place mine at the bottom of the hid box ( clay pot with enlarged hole).
