I have a problem with one of my boas. i got her from reptiles and beyond (it was a horibal store and i am glad they are no longer open) any way the story is i went in to look around and they were closing down.the first thing i noticed was that it was about 60-65 degrees in the store (a little cold dont ya think) and they still had a corn snake,a white lip python,4 emporer scorpians a couple of gecos and some other missolanice animals left) along with 2 rtb. when i was talking to the girl that was working there she said they were selling off the animals. i only had $300 on me she told me that the 2rtb where BOTH GIRLS AND BOTH PREG... and i could have them for $300 with the cage. i didnt beleave her but i did take them home anyway with the cage . when i got them home i slowley warmed them up so it wasent to much of a shock. then i put them in the cage and went to bed. the next day they seamed fine so i left them alone. when i got home that night one of them was acting funney (twisting its body,liquid poop coming out of it,and opening its mouth.) i tried to get ahold of my vet but he was on vaca by the time i got ahold of a vet the snake had died. the next day i brought her to the vet to see if he could tell me what happend he sent out some tests. the first thing he found out it was a boy. then he found it had a very bad infection in its colen and it killed him when he got warm and the infection got all active.(it was to cold before). so i made an appointment for the other one a.s.a.p this one was a girl and after an ultrasound he found her to be preg. she also had hookworm really bad so we treated her for that and wated... she finaly gave birth to about 36 slugs(most lickley due to the temps she had been in). she was getting very thin by this point i dont know when she had eatten befor i got but she refused food up until the day after she gave birth she took 1 lg f/k rat but now she wont take anything elese i tried everything(live rats,f/t rats f/k rats,live gp, f/k gp) she dosent want any of it. i have had her for about a year now . about 2 monthes ago i started forcefeeding her what the vet suggested(meat based wet dogfood mixed with enshure diet suplument drink) i do this once every 3-7 days and she is slowley gaing weight but i dont know if it is good to be doing this. she still wont take real food but i dont know what to do. do i keep doing this? put her to sleep or what?
any info would be verry helpful.

I don't know if this will help, but I have a very picky eater. How I deal with her is I put her in a warm rubbermaid tube taht is just big enough for her to fit in. Make sure it is only like 6"-8" tall, so she has very little room to move away from the food. then I put the rat in and leave her over night. I'm around 50% for getting her to eat, but its better than nothing right?
