This has been a long time ago, and I could be wrong about the boa's name, but I believe it was Lola. I got to thinking about it and probably the only reason I have a boa right now is because of his posts about Lola. I used to browse this forum for fun since I didn't have any snakes then (several years ago), just lizards and frogs. Anyway, he always had interesting observations about her such as her tendency to follow him around when he let her out. I remember in particular one picture in which she was draped over the railing of his staircase (she was very big as I recall). So I got to thinking about it and I haven't seen him post in a long time unless he just has a different username now. I'd love to see some pics of his boa now (back then I didn't even know enough to tell if she was a bcc or bci). Does anyone else remember him and/or his boa?

and you're correct, the boa's name was Lola...even though it was a boy. That always reminded me of the song. *smile* It was thanks to Henry that I switched to using old sheets for my substrate, which, among other benefits, has seriously reduced the time it takes to clean cages. His observations about behaviour as well as his everyday insight were just two of the many reasons I always enjoyed his posts. I tried emailing him a while back, but the address I had is no longer active.

If you're still out there Henry, we'd love to hear from you.

I never knew Lola was a male though. I remembered him being huge, but back then I would've thought a 6-footer was massive. I wish he would start posting again-he always provided very interesting reading.

still posting,I wouldn't get to talk to him much,as my aol error message boots me off of here before I can post at least 75% of the time. I tried to post a pic last night about a dozen times and finally gave up.Will try again.

She was wondering how he was doing also. Maybe hes still lurking and will drop in.

Yeah, Henry is a great guy. And, he is missed by quite a few I am sure. Who could forget Lola the boy??? Or, his ball python stories.....Or, his GTP stories. Yes, he is missed for sure.

Henry taught me alot about boas. He was always level headed and had great ideas!!! I remember that picture that was mentioned. I can still see it in my head. Orginally Henry thought Lola was a girl, then a boy, then a girl again. Lola fits that boa perfectly.....LOL. Everytime I hear the song I think of them both. I would like to hear from him again. It's strange how people like him can impact your life and years later you still think about them even though you haven't talked to them in awhile. I raise my glass to Henry and Lola where ever they may be......YOU'RE MISSED HENRY.....
