Ok i'm having bad aggression problems, with my columbian boa. I don't know why just one day her attitude changed 180-degrees. She used to be the sweetest pet i had.. and i have many lizards, snakes, and everything else in between.

Today i bend down my the cage to pick up something and she struck at my head. i got bit yesterday when i was changeing the water. I'm starting to have to wear gloves to do that now.

What should i do about it? Why did this even start? And what can i do in the long run to keep her tame? and from turning like this. And is it possible that she will always be like this?

I am having the exact same problem with my red tail. He has always been a sweet heart and then one day he just freaked out and started trying to attack my through the glass on the aquarium. It freaked me out a little cuz i've never had any problems with either of my red tails. He's pushing 4 feet and still rather small so I only had him one 3 mice a week, but after this happened the best advice i got was to feed him more. I moved him up to 5 mice a week and now hes not quite as bad but he still hisses and occasionally strike when i reach my hand in his tank, but once i have him out he is his same sweet self again. Are you feeding yours in the same tank she lives in? Cuz that could cause a major problem, cuz she could think you are food when you reach in. Past that i don't know wut other advice I can give you cuz i'm still having trouble getting mine tame again allthough I'm slowly getting there. Good luck with her.

Thanks for the message back.. I'm glad i'm not the only one with this going on.. Yeah it freaked me out as well the first time. No i feed her in a seporate container. I only feed mine once a week sence thats all she will take.. If i try more she will just regect it.
