Hi,
I just got a new baby columbian boa and when i hold it it is sweet and then when i put him in his cage he gets in the S podition and starts striking at me.
any suggestions..

Chances are, there is something in the exclosure that is frightening him. I have seen young boa's attitudes change from sweet to evil overnight because of something as simple as the addition of a different water bowl or hide box.
You'll need to try through trial and error to figure out what the offending item is. If you come up with nothing, you'll also want to consider the exclosure itself. If you are using a glass aqearium, it's possible that there is a reflection or a view of something from outside the enclosure that disturbs him.
