Need help with heating a rubbermaid

Loc4T Oct 23, 2003 06:53 PM

I am attempting to switch my yearling bci from a tank to a sweaterbox, I have finally gotten over the need to see her and want to house her as comfy as possible. I am trying to heat the rubbermaid with a human heating pad, so far i have been unsuccessfull it is 7x16.61x22.81in box not in a rack (my only boa) my digi thermometer reads either the hot side too hot or the cold side too cold depending on what setting I use. does anybody out there have any suggestions on heating this thing effectively? Thanx

You could try running a thermostat inline with the heater. Then you can adjust the heat more effectively.

Although you may already be doing that, but you didnt say.
