I live about 5 miles from the Simi fire but am safe here and I know that there are herpers in the paths of these fires that are wondering what the heck they are gonna do if they have to pack up their collections....and we all know your mother-in-law doesn't want 'em there. Let me know if I can help....there are a lot of good herpers here....and I'll make sure they get involved!

I've been in SoCal for 35 years and have been through all the earthquakes and fires in years passed and I have never seen anything like this.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to those directly affected. And our deepest thanks goes out to the Firefighters that lay their lives on the line to save our lives and our homes. You can't possibly know how much you are appreciated.

these very same things. It would certainly be no easy feat removing a collection in a situation like this. My heart goes out to anyone finding themselves facing this tragedy. I have friends in S. CA who have been removing theirs, and their neighbor's horses......and some had to be left.

If I lived closer, my house would be open as well. Bless your heart for offering yours.

i live about 2 hours from san fran sysco if anyone need help with their animals as they are getting their lives back in order i can takepretty much any snake that you have a tank for even tho i am only 13 i have almost 3 years of herping under my belt.

on the news this morning it talked about a couple of firfighters who died god bless their souls.
