how we present an image of ourselves as keepers. I don't see how anyone here is to blame. I would fully expect the animals I have to feed off me if I were laying in the floor dead. Salvators do it all the time in the wild. (eat dead things) It has even been said they will dig up human graves and eat the remains.

What happened here was perfectly normal for the animals but it is the people who don't understand their behavior. People who don't understand things generally fear them and have no intrest of learning past that point.

Besides, my wife is always threating to kill me, chop me up, and feed me to my monitors.

In a side note. I thought I was the only one who kept their man in line with that threat

Even though they are my animals my wife lets me know she'll still feed me to them. She is pretty squeamish though. She asked me who she could get to cut me up for them

This happened not to far from Philly PA(where I'm from)right down 95 ,so it caused a big stir among people here. I took amy male Argus & male dumerils on a locale news (Good Day Philadelphia) to disprove the vorociousness of varanids. I did make it clear that monitors are not for everyone. I also made it clear that the owner had to be dead a few days before they scavenged on him. I told the audience that the monitors would in most cases chose to eat smaller prey etc.;anyway you get the pict.. This event took place awhile ago jan.'02.
There were waters,niles, & albigs. that he had.
