Well we are always starting our Season after it seems like everyone else has already had their babies! We had our first litter drop yesterday evening. We bred a pair of the first 2001 50% Salmontines to each other. She birthed on her 105th day after her P.O.S. We used a red male and an orange reduced pattern female and got a nice variety in the litter. The numbers were bad & good. We got 11 live Possible Super Salmontines, 2 live Normals, 2 dead deformed Salmontines & 5 dead deformed Normals. Bad that there was 7 dead deformed babies, but good that the majority of the defects fell on the Normals not the Salmontines. This litter really has a variety. There are heavy patterned Salmontines w/ side stripes and then very reduced pattern Salmontines w/ missing saddles. We will post a few pics of them after they shed and have had a few meals. We can see theat most of them already have a nice orange color to them, so they should be smoking as they age.
