I'm starting to look into the nics, and was wondering what is the maximum size each of the sexes reach.

Adult males about 4'. Adult females just under 6'. However, I have seen adults much smaller than this. One important thing is that they are not as thick as a Columbian boa. This makes them easier to handle. Hope this helps. Chris Ginkel

Hey.

Nics are really awesome boas, and can get to work with.
females will top out at six ft. or just under that.
males will max out at about five ft. or just over.
they're build is very similar to that of Sonoran boas. they tend to maintain a 'taller' shape, and not get as stocky or rounded as other boas.

I’ve heard that they can be aggressive biters when young and that some just don’t grow out of it and will be nasty all their lives… mine have all been really docile. Maybe I’ve been lucky…
I don’t know about others, but all of mine have been problem feeders on and off – not so lucky there..

There are some really amazing morphs of these guys, with the Anery being my personal favorite.

I just got a pair a few weks ago. I have yet to be bitten! I may happen but I'm starting to think the nippy thing is just fear of a strange small boa... We tend to fear the things we do not understand....LOL Blue
