Is there a Boa Constrictor ssp native to Puerto Rico?....more

Hoppy Jun 19, 2004 03:36 PM

I thought the only Boa that was native to puerto Rico was the Puerto Rician Boa (not even sure that it is not extinct in the wild) and I thought that Boas was the same species as the other Rainbow Boas?
There is someone selling BCI Boas in the classifieds as wild caught in Puerto Rico?

Now if they are native, I know that they would not be permitted to be collected, Puerto Rico has everything protected due to the fact that most of its wild life is in massive decline.
Anyone out there with any info on this?
Thanks
