Regurgitating savannah

tanmuscles Jun 24, 2003 06:06 PM

I was about to feed my 11 inch baby savannah monitor when i noticed a lump of what appears to be partially digested crickets. I think he threw them up. I fed him 15-20 crickets yesterday. What do you guys think is wrong? He's in a 50 gallon with basking at 130 and ambient around 85-90. He's TEMPORARILY on sand until i can find enough suitable dirt to fill up the enclosure. Thanks

My guess would be that it didn't stay warm enough after a big meal(maybe it stayed on the cool side). If it happens too much, take a fecal sample to your Vet.Are you sure it's puke, not poop? They tend to look similar when dried up(at that age).
