Baby gecko loves humid hide good or bad?

ok i got a 10 gal tank. UTH as heat and a humid hide on that side. and a coconut hide on the "cool" side. my baby leo rarly leaves the humid hide. and only gos to the coconut if i turn on the light when he is on the cool side pooping. i herd someware to much humiditie could be bad for them. also noticed he licks the side. is this becase he might not have found water dish yet?

This is quite normal. Babies especially love to be in humid hides. I wouldn't worry.
