my biggest fear...

my biggest fear about this gecko is getting it and it not eating
every thing else i'm shure i can handol
but it scairs me whne i get a new baby reptile of any kind and it dosen eat.
is there a certan amount of time i should wate to put food in with the gecko so he will get used to his surroundings first or wha?
i havent saw this on a care sheet so i thought i would ask

Put a few crickets in the night you get them, if they dont eat them it isnt a big deal, but they have the option. Just make sure your terrarium is set up correctly and upon arrive they are left alone.

i have the cage set up it is holding moiesture good...
and i am useing spagnum moss and a substrate
and some fake plants in there and some wicked looking branches frome the creek bank
as far as i knwo i have read the care shets plenty of time and i got every thing down an di'm still reading it and going over everything i ordered my gecko frome
reptile depot.com i was wondering how to de parasite them
but the nearest animal doctor that works with reptiles is over 100 miles frome here an di have no cAr so i cant do that.

You shoudn't worry too much if the gecko dosen't eat for a while. My cork bark leaf tail didn't eat for about 2 weeks when i got him but he might have been an abnormal one. Keep it humid, cool, and dark in his cage for a while. I have also found a night heat lamp works well my gecko i helps to keep the temp from dropping to much and my gecko likes to bask underneath it, it seems to make him more active i only use it in the winter though and not the summer it would make him too hot. Also make sure the night light isn't too hot.
