playball it wouldn't be a bad idea to start reading other peoples work and then come in here and doing a monthly book review. It would help the people who can't read every book that is published.
Thanks for the sarcasm, my point was the book or the video as a purchase BUT thanks for answering the question.
Wow, that didn't look sarcastic to me. Actually it sounds like kind of a good idea. I don't have time to read every single ball python book that comes out, there must be almost a dozen of them by now. I don't know about you, but I'm WAYYY too busy reading all of these internet posts to actually take the time to read something on paper. Thats just SO old fashioned. And those tomes made up of the flesh of dead trees aren't getting any cheaper either. It might be nice to see someone take a stab at doing a monthly ball python book review. You could call it 'book of the month review' or something catchy like that. I think you could do a good job of it playball, come on, give it a chance.

My Novice opinion: I was a bit dissapointed. Writing style is very "conversational", and I was expecting some outrageous epiphanies in ballpython care/breeding . (maybe that was an unrealistic expectation)
It did have a lot of pretty morph pictures. A larger Book size would have showed off the pics better. Could have done without some of the political commentary... but think I'm in the minority there.
It's a bit pricey.
Over all it's a nice addition to a snake book collection. If you don't already have ballpython books, this certainly is the most up to date.
My favorite book specific to ball pythons still Is Stefan Broghammer's "Ball Pythons Habitat, Care and Breeding" (M&S Verlag). Looking forward to see VPI's new book this summer.
Hope this is helpful.

Im reading it at the moment and I find it very informative.
I think the writing style is purposefully meant to be easy to read for most people.
I'm sure Kevin could tell you much more, but there is only so much room in a book of that size (and price) before it is full...I'd consider it recommended reading for anybody interested in Ball Pythons.

I flipped through the book while browsing at a local pet store. It looked to be a good book, but i couldn't see myself spending $60 on it. It had some great photos from what i could see, but honestly, If i want to look at pics, i could go online or to the NERD site and look at them. I think in the end, I will purchase the book, but in my opinion, a $60 book is better served with less photos and more words. But that just my opinion... you know what they say about opinions... everyone has one.
