Leopard Cage size

Rob_Sleeper Feb 01, 2006 08:09 PM

Hi everyone,
All the caresheets I read talk about cages for more than one tortoise. Can you guys recommend a cage size for a SINGLE leopard tortoise? I was thinking 8 x 8.
Thanks
Rob

Since rarely do two tortoises occupy the same space at the same time (unless you have a male and a female), the size for one is also probably fine for more than one (to a point). As long as they have several types of palces within the enclosure. 8x8 is a great size, and could be a little big for real young leopards. You also have to heat all that space!

hwo old is it? i mean i have had mine for about ayear and he's stil small.. they grow extremely slow... i also have a sulcata in the same cage and shes grown 4 times as fast and rigth now the are in a 4 foot by 3 foot cage ansd they have been in there for about a year and half.... they have tons of room... But 8 by 8 seems kinda big for 1 leopard baby or yearling or probably up 5 years.. they will be in ther efor still a while. Thats why im thinking urs is bigger....
