Ok guys, a realy quik question. firstly i am breeding a male jungle to a female normal. the female is about 6 years old NEVER been bred and weighs roughly 35lbs. now the thing is this, the male is tkaing on to her very well, theyve both been properly cycled and the male has been feeding well but i have yet to feed the female for a little while now. The problem is that the female doesnt seem to take to him aswell. the male raps his tail around hers and all looks ook, but she doesnt seem intereested. other than separting them and just trying again later, is there ANYTHING i can do?. temps and everything are correct based on researched material. thanks Adam Rivers

Try not to worry about it. Youd be suprised what breeding gets done even if you dont see it or think it. Good luck.

ok, just kidding, but anyway

a female won't always be receptive to the male, atleast not initially.

I suggest leaving him in there, and she should eventually become more receptive.

Try misting them down too...

Best Wishes, Bci Joe

show her some of the breeding pics on this site?

A little "snake porn" could be all she needs!!

Seriously, patience grasshopper. Like us, the female has all the power, she says when she's ready and when she's not.

this is only the beginning of the frustration, if/when they do breed, then you have to WAIT for the babies. Then odds are if you produce enough babies, sooner or later you'll run into problem babies. Sometimes picky eaters, deformed, stillborn and you even run the risk of losing your female or male (the same risks we all run).

Bottom line, do it because you love it. Not much is better than checking on your gravid female and finding a pile-o-slime and healthy babies.

LOL except of course finding your female expelling said pile-o-slime and healthy babies....That is WAY cool!!
