Mr. Pissypants-Mr. Sicklypants again

veiledbrian Feb 01, 2006 11:14 PM

Ok what the heck..
He got better for a week. Then I fed him a silkworm yesterday and he starts acting weird again. I'm not sure if there really is a correlation between the two but it is awfully funny. If anyone would like to see a video, msg me, I have a couple showing his symptoms. He went from being the way he was in the first, after being sick the first time(or first showing signs of his illness) to the second pic within a day.

Hmm, maybe I'm missing something (it is late) but I don't get it ? My veiled gets in both those positions quite often.

I am so sorry for you and you are probably quite confused and of course sad. how strange. In hindsight can you see any other symptoms he may have had? Would you consider a necropsy? Luna's was $120 not sure how much elsewhere. It helped me to know the actual cause after all her trouble.

Could he have somehow been poisoned from a wild caught insect or some other food? When you feel up to it maybe you can list his setup again. I know it is a lot, but if you plan to get another you'll want to knwo something that was overlooked. he was only 5 months, right? How old was he wehen you got him? Sorry for all the questions, I know you are in pain. Post when you feel better. My heart goes out to you

I am so sorry. I know exactly where you are coming from, and how you are feeling. I just lost Pudge on Monday. My biggest outlet was to tell my story about her life here on KS. Thanks so much to all of you for the support, and again I am sorry about your loss.

I'm so sorry that you lost your chameleon. Its always hard losing one of these beautiful animals, especially when you don't know what caused his death.

A necropsy might give you some incite into the reason for his death.

Perhaps when you feel like it you would like to go over his setup and care to see if we could figure out what the problem was. It might even ve that here was something wrong with the silkworms.

If you intend to get another chameleon, it would be nice to be sure that this wouldn't happen again.

My thoughts are with you concerning your loss.
