What do you think of my beauties?

bsaffron Feb 01, 2006 11:15 PM

Just thought Id share some of the excitement at my place. This is my first time breeding boas. And my first time posting!! What do you think of my stuff?

Here is my pink salmon male from Summit Reptiles. He is killer and locked up with a very nice silver female. I bought him because hes is pink from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail.

Heres my orange male from Chris Perry. Hes currently locked up with a 30lb normal. He is poss het anery and possible dominant. Check out the white patches. Whats going on there???

This is my gorgeous blood red female that is also poss het anery.

Hopefully the orange male will knock her up and Ill get some ghosts. Not to mention some sick hypos.

Brendan

It might have something to do with how I resized them before posting. Im actualy fairly new to posting pics on the internet.

I usualy resize my pics to the dimensions of 320x240 or 640x480. The big pics you see on this post are most likely the 640x480 size. I do this with the HP photo program that came with my computer but Im sure most programs will allow you to customize your dimensions.

The forementioned dimensions are preset in my programs. The 320x240 is technicaly for web posting and the 640x480 is preset for email. Ive noticed that 640x480 is too big to post in the classifieds but works in the forums and the 320x240 works great in the classifieds. Find an outside program for your computer and customize and troubleshoot the size of your pics to the maximum size a site will allow. Thats all I got. Good luck.

Nice collection, but what causes those white scales? I have a boa doing the same thing and do not know why. Thanks Andy

Not sure man. I wish I knew. Wouldnt it be sick to have an all white boa with the clarity of those white patches?

Selective breeding is essential in this business/hobby. Soon or later hypos for example will be as common (or close to) as normals and only the best bllodlines will demand the high prices that breeders strive for. I hope everything works out for you!!!
