Columbians with Guyana?

smith710 Feb 02, 2006 12:46 AM

I currently have 2 female Columbians. 1 is very light colored and the other has very nice colors down her side. I was just wondering if there would be a problem mating them with a male guyana. I was thinking of getting a Guyana and I would like to be able to mate them. How would they come out? What would the cross look like? Thank you!

They'd come out looking a little like both. There's no problem with it, though the offspring wouldn't be considered particularly desirable by most.

Why wouldn't it be desireable? Wouldn't it be better looking than a normal Columbian? Ok well heres a question then. If I can get a Guyana for about $150 and breed it. Would I be beter off getting the Guyana or another Columbian for around $90 for babies??? I just like the guyanas and they arent too much more so I figured if I breed them the babies would come out better than if I just got another Columbian.
Thanks
