Hey Ethan,
Usually bloods and short-tails, will have a prelay shed after their last known copulation. If that was 60 days ago, then so be it, that is the time to start marking down or more like counting down the days. She should take some where from 10-12 days to shed; another 24 to even 40 days to lay, but rarely that long. That one was one for the records (Kara Glaskow). Anyhow, more typically, they will lay sometime between 24-34 days after they POS, with an incubation period of from 54-68 days depending on your IT. Good luck!

Hey Angel I had put her together right after she had shedded so thats why I figured she wouldn't shed right after they copulation. And also she ususally takes 3-4 months to shed again so thats why I'm hoping this could be the one.Still weiry though but only time will tell.I couldn't remember the shedd cycles with breeding but I thought it was 60 days and then another 30 days to lay eggs. I haven't been on top of my knowledge like I used to reading up on anything and everything.I'll keep you all informed. Thanks Ethan

Good luck! I just had a borneo pre-lay shed last night and will count down to egg deposition. Should be around first weekend in March. That is based on prior years breeding. It is amazing on how consistent some animals are. I have my fingers crossed for an interesting year. I only bred two females this year and both will hopefully provide nice surprises (at least one would be good!).
