Cham breeder in the Porland Oregon area.

kriswaters Feb 02, 2006 10:08 AM

Thanks to all for your sympathy regarding PUDGE. Some one asked if I though she may be egg bound...the answer was no. Exrays were negative for that and MBD. Anyway...eventhough we are still upset, I would like to pursue getting another veiled but need to find a breeder in the area. Once again, Rylie has saved money (she was going to use it at the mall...13 is a shopping age), but she wants to put it towards a new cham. My mom (bless her heart) wants to put in too. The pet store that I normally deal with has babies that are 12 weeks old, but I haven't inquired as to their origin. They are reputable and deal in exotics, but it was one of the girls there that told me to feed the mealworms and pinky, that may have been the cause of Pudge's early demise.

Anyhoo, if any of you Northwesterns out there know....drop a thread.

Thanks again.

Hi there,
I don't know anyone in Portland, but I'm in Seattle and I've bought a few chams from other states and was worried about the shipping, BUT everything went smooth I bought a large male veiled(Stitch) from Florida (Anson) and a beautiful little girl(Rana) from Vegas (Blue Beast Reptiles) and have not had any problems with either. Both breeders were very helpful and have always been able to assist me with any concerns I've had since. I'm not sure if Anson has any veileds, but I bet if you drop Tyler (blue beast) a line, he may have some babies waiting in the side-lines Do you know if you want a male or a female? Here are some pics of my babies.

I know a breeder in Portland. His name is Jeremy Elder, I don't know if he has any Veileds, but he does have some nice Ambilobes and some Ambanja Panthers in case you might want to go another route. His e-mail is elderjeremya@yahoo.com I know another breeder in New Mexico with some Veileds and Nosy Be Panthers. His name is Mark Harrison and his e-mail is PardalisCham@msn.com These posts may get taken down because it sort of falls under advertising. Hope this helps, Chaco.

What are the numbers with descriptions posted at the bottom of each of your messages?

Curious...

Kris

not just me They refer to the gender, species and name of my critters:

0.1 veiled means no male (always the first number) 1 female (always 2nd) species and name. If someone had: 1.2 tarantula this would mean 1 male and 2 females. You can set you own up by going to User Prefs above the postings and put it in your signature.

Hope this helps!

Be wary of some of pet shops in this area - we found that some have very unethical practices when it comes to selling chams. We quit selling to them due to the problems.

You cannot go wrong with any cham from BlueBeast Reptile, as Tyler takes great care in his breeding program.
