I've basically identified three general pattern groups: the first is the northern pattern that has thin bands and complete side chains (think NJ or MD), the second has wider bands and side chains which are straight lines, and the third has wide bands that are triangular on the side and side chains that are straight lines or boxes. What do the three? different general patterns produce when bred together?
Are there any pure white easterns or are they just light cream when compared to plain white paper? The Maryland snakes look stark white until I hold them against white paper then they are obviously cream colored.
Would a "white" king bred into the orange GA's produce a red snake since the GA's seem to be red over yellow?
Does the black belly trait breed true? Are the animals with almost clear bellies het and the truly clear bellied specimen are homozygous?
Does the "zipper" trait (most or all bands are broken along the back) breed true?
Through DNA testing did Krysko, et.al. detect a true difference between meansi and floridana and getula or did they stumble onto the genetic area that hosts the genes for "pattern" in which case goini/meansi is just another phenotype of L.g.g.?
Just some questions I have,
