Hello,
Noah (in Africa) bred a "Lesser" which he obtained from the wild to a seemingly normal female. Well I'm sure she wasn't a normal as why would he breed a normal?? He affectionately named the "normal" female "Queen Belinda" after his wife, or so the story was told to me. When the queen's clutch hatched there were A couple Blue-Eyed Leucisitics, Lesser looking ones and normals. Now the Blue Eyes looked like the standard Blue Eyes that came out first, not the super white ones that followed. Since we don't know how these white snakes differ genetically, we won't go on referring to them by names or anything just yet. Of the "Lesser" looking babies this one stood out from the rest. What caught my eye was the Cinnamon Pastel like "floating saddles" that he had down his sides. His color was also different aside from the side pattern and I thought the clutch was intriguing. I was offered the animal by a state side party that was buying the rest of the clutch and I happily excepted the deal.
As for the price range of something like that... I don't really know. The fairest thing I could come up with was paying a little more than what I could get an RDR line animal for here on U.S. turf and that was accepted. The animal is cool looking and I feel he is a great addition to our collection. However his background does NOT include all of the fantastic hidden things that come with the RDR line so I never considered him a replacement for that other line. This is the reason that I pursued the RDR line Lesser that I have in these photos with the African one.
Is he something new?? I hope he is but I will be happy if I can just produce some nice females with his odd looks. As for those reading this that have known me for a while... I know I said I'd never buy an animal from Africa because of the risk but this time I couldn't pass on this captive bred african animal!
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks...
